Fairy Ponies

The Bubble

It all began with a bubble.

Not the kind you blow on a summer afternoon or the sort that pops against your nose with a giggle. This one shimmered with light and danced through the air as if it had a destination. It floated up to my window, hovered for a moment, then gave the slightest wiggle. Almost like it was inviting me to follow.

So I did.

In the blink of a breath, I found myself soaring through a sky spun from cotton candy clouds and winds that sang like flutes. Beneath my hooves was nothing but sunlight and sparkle. I looked down and gasped. I had hooves. And wings. A mane that shimmered like moonlight on water. I was no longer myself.

I was a fairy pony. A real one!

Before I could catch my breath, a blur of color zipped past my ear. A fairy zipped up beside me, grinning as if she had just devoured an entire pie all by herself.

"You made it! Come on, the kingdom needs you!" she cried, and then she shot forward, pulling me into the most dazzling, topsy-turvy adventure I could ever imagine.

We raced through the sky, chasing mischievous creatures that giggled and flipped upside down as they tried to escape. I puffed bubbles at them and watched them bounce away in surprise. I laughed so hard I nearly forgot I was flying.

But not everything was light and laughter. Sometimes the sky would go quiet.

That was when the big ones came.

One loomed like a mountain with eyes. Another was all wings and teeth. I felt small every time, but I never stopped. I couldn’t. Not with the fairies counting on me.

There was magic in the hayfields that filled me with strength. Sparkles in the clouds transformed into coins. Somewhere in that sparkling sky, I began to feel faster. Braver. Like the pony I was always meant to be.

I met more fairies along the way. They cheered me on and helped me grow stronger. Every time I merged two together, something new and wonderful appeared. I spun the fairy wheel whenever I had the chance, chasing surprises like a child chasing fireflies.

Then came the raids. Fiercer. Faster. Brighter. Battles that set my wings on fire and made my heart race. But with every defeat I came back stronger. With every victory, the sky seemed to shine a little more.

Now I can't stop flying.

There are fairies at my side and magic in my hooves. I am the fairy pony. This kingdom is mine to protect.
